So, I had this fabulous Olympic post that I wrote last night, where I rambled on about Michael Phelps (love him), Nastia Liukin (robbed of gold medal), Shawn Johnson (totally cute), Jenn (the pole vaulter, who's coach was a total jerk--look for the clip on youtube) and a bunch of other stuff about the Olympics. But, as has been the case at home whenever George has been playing with iTunes, the internet just stopped working. Apparently, in the middle of my post. So, while I was gleefully typing about my favorite athletes, jerk coaches and their families, the computer was just laughing at me. Whatever.
I also talked about my lack of sleep from staying up and watching the games, which isn't good, especially if you're prone to bouts of insomnia like I am. Here on the west coast, do we really need it to come on at prime time? Why can't we just watch the East Coast feed? By that point, ESPN is already telling us who's won what, and I'm throwing things at the TV when they do. Plus, the best stuff comes on at midnight anyway, so instead of midnight, it would only be 9pm. Much better for me. So listen up, NBC! LOL!
So--to celebrate the Olympics, I ask you put your favorite Olympic moment in the comments! I'll pick a winner just after the first of September, and you'll get a wonderful Red, White and Blue Prize Pack!
Why not until September? Because George and I are off tomorrow to Oklahoma for the Tulsa Creating Keepsakes Show this coming weekend. Then on Sunday, we fly to Columbus, OH, and drive about 2 hours to his mom's house. We're spending a week with his family, and while I've met his mom and step-dad, I've not met anyone else. Should be a fun time! We don't get back until just before Labor Day, so I'll pull the winner on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week.
Until then, I may post from the road. Not sure yet of what all is happening, and where I'll have internet. Hope you have a wonderful week!
~~Angie
