Michael Buble!
Yes--he is not bad to look at. However, he's also quite an entertainer.
We had tickets to see his Portland show last night, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! My mom and I, and lots of our family, have a very special connection to this man and his music. I found him about 3 years ago, and have loved his music ever since. However, my mom fell in love with him when we chose to play "Home" at dad's memorial service. We're sure that his record sales jumped in the Portland area late last July after dad's service, because everyone was asking us who that was.
Last night was also very special, as it would have been mom & dad's 40th wedding anniversary yesterday. We spent the evening with my mom's sister Kim, dad's brother John, and friends Cindy, Joe, Joni and Laura. We all enjoyed the show immensely, and I can't wait until he comes back to town. I'll be signing up for his fan club in hopes of getting pre-sale tickets at much better location than we had last night. But no matter where you sat, the man's voice is like butter! It's so cool to have an entertainer who can literally stand on the stage, and just sing, with little theatrics, and still make a show you could watch for HOURS.
I'm not even a concert goer. Have seen a Wynonna concert (where the chick behind me sang so loud that the people in front of me asked me to shut up--but I had to tell them it was her), a Brooks & Dunn concert (which was great), and a few others. But it's not a priority in my life. For this man, I will make an exception--ANY DAY!
If he's coming to your town, be sure to get seats, even if they're in the last row! Fantastic, entertaining show.
