What a beautiful weekend it was in Southern California, for the most part anyway. Laura and I had to laugh several times, at the amount of bundling that So-Cal Residents do when it's below 60 degrees. Our first experience was in the parking lot of Downtown Disney, where our car said it was 62 degrees, but the mother who was bundling her child up in a parka, fleece hat and fleece scarf must have thought it was only 30 degrees! We heard so many people say it was "SOOOO COLD" out today, and we're laughing as we're walking around in t-shirts and jeans.
Set up of the booth went well, and with only a few minor adjustments to my original plan, we got everything up that had to be up. Show booth really looks great this year, and it's only going to get better! The new papers I posted last week were a hit, and our new stamps did very well, too. The "Movie night" set was a "star" of the day on Saturday, as we made an adorable "Oscar Party" card for our make & take.
It did rain a bit on Saturday, but nothing these Oregonians couldn't handle.
Only bad news from the show--I started getting sick on Sunday. It's Wednesday now, and I literally have no voice. I've stayed home from work today, as I just am not able to stay awake for more than an hour at a time. Going to have to run to the store later for more NyQuil so I can make it thru the night. Might also pick up a new movie or something to entertain me....
That's about it from Boxerland...hopefully I'll start feeling better tomorrow.
