I really like Boxer's Gears patterned paper and Circuit board patterned paper. The black and white makes them versatile to leave as is or add any color to coordinate with a card or layout. The shapes also make them versatile. In this layout below, I took the "gears" theme literally and did a layout about my son's new bicycle, but the patterns are attractive and could be used without a theme. I've also had fun playing with Boxer's printed chipboards (this one is from the Guy Greetings one).
Put it all together with a few bright pieces of cardstock, a large metal-rimmed tag a white tag (folded over) and a few eyelets and brads and this turned out really cute IMHO!
In next week's post, I'll show you a simple way to make the cardstock gears in PSE to print and cut out of your favorite cardstock.
