So with the craziness of last minute school shopping, I forgot to post my project for Monday. So, here it is...
I love daisies - whether they are real, paper, silk, or even stamped. For this card, I stamped the daisy image onto white cardstock and then cut out each flower. This way I can curl each petal to give them some dimension and add a button for the center. For the leaves, I stamped the daisy onto green cardstock and cut out just the petals. I added some foam tape under the white mat for even more pop.
Boxer Supplies used: Small red dot paper, yellow grosgrain, Daisy stamp, black pen (Sakura), yellow buttons
Additional supplies: White, blue, and dark green cardstock, blue ink pad, black ink pad.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

I think one of my favorite products from Boxer Scrapbooks are the glaze pens. The fact that they can write on any surface, just makes them the perfect tool.
For this card, I used the Jone's Butterflies - Gold stickers by Printworks (available at www.Boxerscrapbooks.com) and placed them on the edge of the white card. Then I colored them with the glaze pens. For the larger butterfly in the greeting, I backed the sticker with white cardstock and then colored it. After the penwork had dried, I cut out the butterfly and folded up the wings.
Boxer Supplies used: Turquoise gingham paper, black grosgrain ribbon, Printworks stickers, Glaze pens (Sakura), Dazzles Greeting stickers (HOTP), black gelly roll pen (Sakura)
Additional supplies: black ink pad, white and black cardstock
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Paper embossed flowers are so easy to use. I like to snip in between the petals a little and then curl them for some added dimension. Then I cut the green ones apart for the leaves. The center red dot flower is using the Fold-Back Swirls template.
Boxer Supplies: Black and white striped paper, small red dot paper, Halloween paper embossed flowers, yellow buttons. 1/4" yellow rick rack, Dazzles greetings - silver (HOTP), black twine (Disney pack), white and black gelly roll pens (Sakura)
Additional supplies: Black and red ink pads, and 1/8 inch hole punch, black and white cardstock
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

When making a card, I always pull out the ribbons and flowers. But today, I am in need of a masculine card. I used strips of the brown dot paper and added mats of red cardstock. I folded the cardstock over the strips and trimmed to points to make the flaps. Mini brads then hold those flaps in place. When using a lot of mini brads, I complete the card front first, in this case - on the red cardstock, and then attach to my card front. This will hide the prongs of the brads.
Boxer supplies used: Brown argyle paper, Brown dot paper, Pet Stripe (Galloping Horse Productions), Dazzle Greetings - Gold (HOTP), brass mini brads, white gelly roll pen (Sakura), Stardust pen (Sakura)
Additional supplies used: red and brown cardstock, brown ink pad
So until next time, Happy Scrapping!

For this card, I cut the front flap shorter and at an angle to show the greeting which is on the inside of the card. For a little different look of layering, I adhered the black and white strip across the card and just the black cardstock as a pocket, added the gift card in the pocket, and adhered the rick rack and flower around the gift card. I also wanted to make sure the adhesive for the rick rack and flower were not over the gift card so it was still easy to remove from the pocket.
This design can easily be changed to be a card for any occasion simply by changing the papers and greeting. Again, another easy design that I will use again.
Boxer supplies used: Black and white star paper, Black and white stripe paper, Small red dot paper, black flowers from the Dog Lover's Paper Embossed flower mix, White gelly roll pen (Sakura), Yellow button mix, Black twine from Dog Twine pack, Dazzle greetings - silver (HOTP), and red 1/4" rick rack.
Additional supplies: black and hunter green cardstock
So until next time, Happy Scrapping!

I threw this card together in a matter of minutes. I used an embosser to give the card a little texture. I used Boxer's orange paisley print for a little flair and created a mini thanks tag with a sharpie. I added a three little brads and I'm done. Who says cards have to take so long to create? Happy Scarpping~ Becky

I love it when I find a sketch or a layout that just comes together smoothly and is fast and easy. I saw a sketch that inspired these cards.
I used the same design for each of these cards. Strips of paper with inked edges and folded flowers using the Fold-It Back Swirls template from HOTP. Just changed the colors. I think this is going to be a common layout for me. I can easily see it working on a scrapbook page as well.
Boxer Supplies used: (CD 1) Turquoise gingham paper, Turquoise dot paper, Turquoise Tropic flower paper, Dazzle Silver greeting (HOTP), black buttons, white gelly roll pen (Sakura)
(CD 2) Cat paisley, Orange dot, Orange gingham, Dazzle Gold greetings (HOTP), brown buttons, white gelly roll pen (Sakura)
Additional supplies: black cardstock, brown cardstock, blue hawaiian ink pad, and mango tango ink pad.
So until next time, Happy Scrapping!

For this card, I added small punched flowers with mini brads to the centers of the folded bows. To hide the prongs of the brads and ends of the ribbons, I completed the card front on the green cardstock before gluing it to the card base. And of course, to finish it off, I added penwork with the white gel pen and the Stardust pen.
Boxer Supplies Used: Papers - Butterfly Garden, Princess Stripe, Small Green Dot, Bright Pink Grosgrain, White mini brads, Stardust pen, Dazzles Greetings (Gold by HOTP), White Gelly Roll pen
Additional supplies: Light blue, yellow and green cardstock, Fold It Bows Template (HOTP), small flower punch by EK Success

Ooops, looks like I forgot to schedule this for Monday - this week is getting away from me. The school year is coming to an end for the boys and seems like I am just losing track of time.... So here it is - a birthday card. This month has been full of graduations, birthdays, babies, and now almost Father's Day. This is a very simple card and it can easily be changed to any theme and a mix of any papers.
Inside of card:
Supplies: Boxer papers - Pink Stripes, Dark Pink Dots, Butterfly Garden, Dazzles Greetings - Silver, Stardust pen, Bubblegum mini brads, Stardust pen, Circle Template (HOTP)
Additional supplies: White cardstock, small flower punch, pink ink pad, Fold it Bows template (HOTP)
Use the circle template to cut the front flap of the card. Then tuck the front of the card under the bow to close the card.
So until next time, Happy Scrapping!

My father never wore a tie, but I love those Father's Day tie cards so cute. I created this tie card using Boxer's brown argyle paper. The tie is made from a grossgrain ribbon, it kinda lloks like those skinny ties that were popular in the 80's, I think my husband still has one ;-).
Supplies used: Boxer's Brown Argyle paper, Brown Buttons and grossgrain ribbon.
I created the "Happy Daddy's day" tag myself and attached to the button with a craft string.
Happy Crafting!!

A cute girl card was created from a butterfly pop up cutting file that I used on my Cricut. I used Boxer's Pink paisley and small green polka dot paper. I also used two Boxer mini white brads. I played a little with dimensional paint for the butterfly bodies. I used scallop scissors for the edge and rick rack sewing for texture.

These tool embellishments are Brad Buddies. Metal embellishments with wonderful detail and simply attach to your project with brads. Using a sanding block over the top of the Brad Buddies will highlight the details. For this library book pocket, I covered the pocket with red cardstock and then attached the Brad Buddies to the pocket using glue dots. This way the brads didn't go through the pocket. Using a scrap piece of the new striped paper across the top of the library book card with mini brads, I then added the info for the work party to the library card.
Boxer Supplies: Standard library book pockets, White library cards, Brad Buddies - Tools, black grosgrain, black gelly roll pen, nickel mini brads, Retro stripe paper, purple sanding block, glue dots
Additional supplies: Red and blue cardstock, black ink pad

This weeks designer challenge was to combine something old with something new. Boxer just released new papers and products that will highlight past product lines! In this card I used the new red swirls paper with the older black and red stripe paper. It goes so well with each other! Make sure you keep coming back as all the designers will be sharing projects of the new products that Boxer has just released!

I think orange is becoming one of my favorite colors. I love how the patterns mix so easily in the Cat line of papers. Then there are the coordinating paper embossed flowers and the button mix - I am set with everything I need to make the perfect card with my favorite color! To add some glitter, I used the Dazzle border stickers and the stardust pen. I used the thin strip of black cardstock behind the border stickers to really make them pop.
Supplies: Small orange dot paper, Cat paisley paper, Orange argyle paper, Cat Lover's paper embossed flowers, Cat Lover's Button mix, You're in my thoughts Sentimental Singles stamp, Dazzles Border stickers - silver, white gelly roll pen, Stardust pen, glue dots, foam tape

I think one of my favorite products are the Embossed Paper Flowers. They are so easy to curl the petals, ink the edges, add penwork, layer the flowers, and add centers. I added white penwork around the edge of the turqoise flower. Then for the small white flower, I punched half circles in the tops of the petals to change the shape of the flower and then inked it. Finished it with a button to the center. The Happy Birthday Chipboard piece works perfectly as the sentiment. Extremely fast and easy card!
Supplies: Happy Birthday chipboard, black mini brads, black buttons, Turquoise dot paper, Turquoise Tropical Flower paper. White Gelly Roll pen, Stardust pen, Tropical Embossed flowers, Magical Memories Embossed flowers
Additional supplies, black ink pad, black cardstock, turqoise ink pad, foam tape, white thread

These three cards were super quick and easy to make. I simply typed the words Congrats on a card stock, printed it out on a piece of white cardstock and embelished with a little strip of Boxer Green, Pink and baby blue polks dot paper. I added a beautiful little baby charm for a simple, yet elegant baby card.

It's a little early but here is Februarys sketch challenge! I mentioned last month that we'd be alternating layout and card sketches so here is the first card sketch of 2011.
The design team will be sharing their cards throughout the month, but to get you started here is my interpretation of the sketch.
Boxer Products: Princess paisley paper; Valentine embossed paper flowers; Jade mini brad;
I am really loving this design, and will probably be making more cards with this design throughout the year. I tend to do that with designs I like, no-one said you can't repeat a design you like! I think it works well with this color combination too, the princess paisley is one of my favorite Boxer papers and I do use it a lot so I was happy this card turned out just as I imagined!
Remember, feel free to join in the sketch challenge. Link us up in the comments to your card either on your blog or gallery.
Enjoy the weekend!

I always love a challenge and stamps are definitely a challenge for me. I love to see what people can do with them. But I think I see the black image on the packaging and then the image of my project is that black stamped image.
So for being stamp challenged, I absolutely love the Sentimental Singles stamps. For this card, I used the Hugs and Kisses and Love Postage stamp. Across the front of the card, I repeated the Hugs and Kisses. Looking through the clear stamp and block, they line up perfectly to cover across the card. Then with the Love stamp, I stamped one image, cut out the heart and traced it onto red cardstock. Inked the edges of the heart and added penwork and glued over the other heart on my second image. Adding the stardust pen around the edges of the black stamped image cleans up the edges of my image and adds some sparkle. After inking the edges of the trimmed stamped image, I added the red mat. For the rest of the card, I used the striped paper and black cardstock and trimmed them to like pieces of an envelope. Add the ribbon, some penwork and added foam tape under the Love for dimension.
Feeling a little less challenged now and really like how easy this card was to make. Now the hard part is to decide who to send it to.
Supplies: Red and Black stripe paper, Hugs and Kisses Sentimental Singles Stamp, Love Postage Stamp Sentimental Single Stamp, Stardust pen, white gelly roll pen, Love You ribbon, Red grosgrain, 3D foam squares, Glue dots
Additional Supplies: black ink pad, black and white cardstock

Supplies: Butterfly Garden paper, Dark Pink dot paper, Pink gingham paper, Princess Paisley paper, Princess Stripe paper, Goldenrod mini brads, Blade style photo turns, Thank you Transparency
Additional supplies: bright pink, sage and blue cardstock, brown pen, brown ink pad

We were challenged this week to use Stamps for our designer challenge and whenever I hear "stamp challenge" I think greeting cards! There are many products I love from Boxer, and the sentiment stamps are my joint first place (tied with Dog papers!). Personally I am a HUGE card maker and I'd rather make cards than layouts anyday so stamp challenge on I decided to break out the sentiment stamps and get busy!
Boxer Products: Black & White stripe paper; Lavendar 3/8" Rick Rack; Purple button mix; Birthday Dots Stamp;
I like that I used the stamp in a way that shows it's more versatile than it's alloted circular shape. The slide mount I used is old stock of Boxer so yu may have some in your supplies. Dig those out and just place them over a stamped sentiment, add some paper and ribbon and VOILA! WQick and Easy greeting card Done!
Remember feel free to join in the challenges, link us to your blog post or gallery image in the comments!

With Angie's recent engagement and wedding talk, I thought it would be a good time for a wedding card. I used the vellum stickers by Print Works and added color to them with glaze pens. I just love how these pens can write on any surface and completely change the look of the sticker.
This is a scan of the stickers plain... They are vellum with a silver outline and detail. The scan really doesn't show how beautiful they are. You can also see them on the website as PW115 French Country Wedding, Silver.
Then by coloring in the areas on the cake really makes it pop off the card. I also colored in the word sticker for added detail.
Supplies: Black and White Stripe paper, nickel mini brads, black grosgrain, Print Works French Country Wedding stickers, Glaze pens - black, real red, deep green, and orange, Stardust pen
Additional supplies: Black ink pad, red and white cardstock, glue dots
Happy Scrapping and Congratulations Ang on your engagement!

Hi Everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend so far! Today I thought I'd share a couple of cards I rececntly made. Not only are these cards cute, they are thrifty too. All I used was my computer and a few scraps of patterned paper that I had leftover from another project. One of my biggest money saving tips for crafting is: USE EVERY LAST BIT when you can! These strips of paper are about 1 1/4" wide.
How-to:
Boxer Products: Princess Paisley Paper
On the card above I added a little rhinestone bling but could instead have added small buttons or brads. Inking the papers and whole card unifies the design of the card.
The card below shows a similar design but instead of taking the patterned paper to the edges of the card, it instead stops short, with more white space.
Boxer Products: Princess Paisley Paper
I think these cards show that you don't need a LOT of products to make great cards! These two were made with simple white cardstock and scraps of paper that other people would probably throw away. Instead save those scraps and make some quick and easy cards.
Look for more cards coming soon from me and the rest of the design team girls!

With the Christmas season over, it is time to look forward to Valentine's Day! I love these Sentimental Singles stamps. They make perfect card focals. I added color to the stamp with a glaze pen. I also added some Stardust to the hearts in the stamp and along the greeting strip. The dots around the ladybug and the black portions of the ladybug in the stamp, I added transluscent glaze to give shine and dimension. Using the stitching template, I add embroidery thread to stitch along the seams of the papers.
Supplies: Hearts on pink paper, Red and Pink Diagonal Stripes paper, black mini brads, Love Bug Sentimental Singles stamp, Stardust pen, Real Red Glaze pen, Translucent Glaze pen and Easy Stitches Template (HOTP).
Additional supplies: Black ink pad, black embroidery thread, foam tape, white, black and red cardstock, 1" circle punch, 1/2" circle punch

The other pockets template by Hot Off the Press is the Sweet Treats Pockets template. The pocket shapes are a cupcake, an ice cream cone and a coffee mug. These pockets can easily be on their own or added as as card focals. You can also use them as accents on your scrapbook pages and use the tags from the template inside the pockets for journaling.
Supplies: Dog Geo paper, Brown Argyle paper, Woof Texture paper, Camel Twill, Stardust Gelly Roll pen, black and white pen, brown ink pad, red and brown cardstock
This is the same card then with the Starbucks giftcard tucked into the pocket.
Supplies: Dark Pink Dot paper, Woof Texture paper, Princess Stripe paper, 1/4" bright pink rick rack, Bright pink grosgrain, Stardust Gelly Roll pen, white pen, green and pink ink pads, white, red, green and sage green cardstock, crimper.
For the liner of the cupcake, I put the Woof Texture paper through a paper crimper and then adhered it to the outside of the pocket and trimmed around the edge. The template also has a candle shape to add to the cupcake. I paper pieced the cherry from the template. This pocket is perfect to hold a gift card, a tag with birthday party invitation, or for anyone that you just want to send a special treat.
Supplies: Dark Pink dot paper, Green Dot paper, Pink Paisley paper, Princess Stripe paper, Dark Pink Gingham paper, Woof Texture paper, white, pink and tan cardstock, chalk, Stylus, Honeydew Twill
To create the waffle cone look, I used a Stylus to emboss the pattern in the cone and then chalked. I did the same technique on the small cone on the tag inside the pocket. The template has the scoop shape so you can easily stack as many scoops on your cone as you wish. With the three scoops, I used a 4 1/4 x 9 inch card.
Happy Scrapping!

This is a non-traditional Christmas card using Boxer's Black and white paisley paper. I tried to print out the word to the "Oh Christmas tree song" but is did not show up very well. I also used a variety of Boxer chipboard to create faux buttons by punching two small holes in the middle.

Boxer has recently teamed up with Hot Off the Press and will be carrying some of their products in the booth next year at the Scrapbook Conventions and we currently have some of those items available online. While we were in Seattle, we made the stocking pocket for the make and take project. It is from the Christmas Pockets template. Perfect for gift cards, card focals, or even accents on a scrapbook page. How cute would it be with these stockings hung on the Christmas tree! Add a small ribbon loop and write the person's name across the cuff.
Happy Scrapping and enjoy the upcoming holiday season!
