Top Dog tag

Today I am sharing a tag I made.  This is one item that I really don't make many of.  And I'm not sure why not.  They are so versatle.  You can hang them from a gift bag or box, you can put them on a scrapbook layout or a card, or you can even use them to label baskets and as a bookmark for your current book.

Mushroom Gift box

 
A super cute gift box I created from a template. The gift bos reminds me of the Smurfs, do you all remember the Smurfts Boxer Supplies: White button variety, yello button, Boxer Red Dots Paper. Other: Mushroom Template, ribbon & red twine. ~Becky 

masculine thank you card

When making a card, I always pull out the ribbons and flowers.  But today, I am in need of a masculine card.  I used strips of the brown dot paper and added mats of red cardstock.  I folded the cardstock over the strips and trimmed to points to make the flaps.  Mini brads then hold those flaps in place.  When using a lot of mini brads, I complete the card front first, in this case - on the red cardstock, and then attach to my card front.  This will hide the prongs of the brads.

Boxer supplies used: Brown argyle paper, Brown dot paper, Pet Stripe (Galloping Horse Productions), Dazzle Greetings - Gold (HOTP), brass mini brads, white gelly roll pen (Sakura), Stardust pen (Sakura)

Additional supplies used: red and brown cardstock, brown ink pad

Hoppy clothespin stand

Hoppy Thursday!

Today I am sharing with you a darling clothespin stand that I created.  Having 1 or 2 or 10 of these clothespins in your home to hold a picture of your little one.  Here on this one I used the chipboard to embellish the front of the clothespin as well as stamping lil' Hoppy onto cardstock.

Froggy Wishes

These little Froggies are so cute! They just beg to be used on a fun stand up birthday card. Use a circle punch folded in half and glued to the inside of the card to hold the card in place when standing.

Materials: Orange Dot, Nat Geo, Orange, Yellow & Green Stripe, and Totally Turtles papers. Turtle Grosgrain Ribbon, and Make a Wish Sentiment Singles stamp.

Other: Cardstock, Ink, Marker, Circle Punches.

 

Congratulations card

For this card, I cut the front flap shorter and at an angle to show the greeting which is on the inside of the card.   For a little different look of layering, I adhered the black and white strip across the card and just the black cardstock as a pocket, added the gift card in the pocket, and adhered the rick rack and flower around the gift card.  I also wanted to make sure the adhesive for the rick rack and flower were not over the gift card so it was still easy to remove from the pocket.

This design can easily be changed to be a card for any occasion simply by changing the papers and greeting.  Again, another easy design that I will use again.

 

Boxer supplies used:  Black and white star paper, Black and white stripe paper, Small red dot paper, black flowers from the Dog Lover's Paper Embossed flower mix, White gelly roll pen (Sakura), Yellow button mix, Black twine from Dog Twine pack, Dazzle greetings - silver (HOTP), and red 1/4" rick rack.

Additional supplies: black and hunter green cardstock

All American Girl

I'm still on an America theme this week.  This time I used on the the many transparency sheets that Boxer offers.  This card I also punched out more stars but this time from 2 different red pattern sheets.

Simple thanks card

I threw this card together in a matter of minutes. I used an embosser to give the card a little texture. I used Boxer's orange paisley print for a little flair and created a mini thanks tag with a sharpie. I added a three little brads and I'm done. Who says cards have to take so long to create? Happy Scarpping~ Becky

I love it when I find a sketch or a layout that just comes together smoothly and is fast and easy.  I saw a sketch that inspired these cards.

I used the same design for each of these cards.  Strips of paper with inked edges and folded flowers using the Fold-It Back Swirls template from HOTP.  Just changed the colors.  I think this is going to be a common layout for me.  I can easily see it working on a scrapbook page as well.  

Boxer Supplies used: (CD 1) Turquoise gingham paper, Turquoise dot paper, Turquoise Tropic flower paper, Dazzle Silver greeting (HOTP), black buttons, white gelly roll pen (Sakura)  

 

(CD 2) Cat paisley, Orange dot, Orange gingham, Dazzle Gold greetings (HOTP), brown buttons, white gelly roll pen (Sakura)

Additional supplies: black cardstock, brown cardstock, blue hawaiian ink pad, and mango tango ink pad.

Celebrate Freedom

Happy 4th of July week!

Freedom is so precious and I am ever thankful for being an American!  Here is a card this week I'm sharing with you to celebrate America's freedom!

Again I used a star punch on the blue star paper.  I also mixed the alphabet stickers as I ran out of *e*, but combining different font stickers make the project stand out even more!

 

Boxer supplies: Black and White small stars paper, red and white swirls paper, dark blue small stars paper, alphabet stickers, primary blue button mix, bakers twine in blue.
